How We Raise
Our Cattle
From pasture to plate — a look at the farming practices behind every cut of C3 Beef. No shortcuts, no compromises, just honest cattle raising.

shortcuts.
The C3 Process
Every animal follows the same path — raised with care at every stage, from the day they're born on our farm to the day they reach your table.
Born and raised on our own Arkansas River Valley property. No outside animals, no unknown history — traceable from day one.
Cattle graze our open pastures — clean water, natural grass, the foundation of flavor in every cut.
A grain-finishing phase builds the marbling, tenderness, and consistent flavor that set C3 Beef apart.
Every animal is processed at a USDA-inspected facility — food safety, proper handling, and accurate labeling on every package.
Through our online shop or local pickup at our Russellville location, C3 Beef goes from our farm straight to your table.

Grass-fed.
Grain-finished.
Our cattle spend most of their lives on open pasture, grazing the natural grasses of the Arkansas River Valley — a diet that builds deep, complex flavor.
We finish on a grain supplement, and that's where the marbling develops: the fine threads of fat that bring tenderness and richness to every bite. Grass for flavor, grain for eating quality — the combination is what makes C3 Beef distinctive.
- Open pasture grazing on Arkansas River Valley grasses
- Grain finishing for optimal marbling and tenderness
- Clean water sourced from our own property
- No artificial feed additives or growth promotants

Angus X
Hybrid Genetics
Our Angus X breeding is a deliberate choice for the Arkansas climate. It brings hybrid vigor — the marbling, tenderness, and flavor Angus is known for, paired with the hardiness and heat tolerance you need for Arkansas summers.
The result is an animal built for this region: it thrives on our pastures and still delivers premium eating quality. That's not commodity beef — it's genetics we've refined over generations.
- Angus genetics for superior marbling and tenderness
- Natural hardiness for the Arkansas River Valley climate
- Genetics refined over multiple generations of the Davis family
- Single-source herd — all raised on our own farm

Antibiotic-Free Meat.
No Added Hormones.
This isn't a marketing claim — it's how we've always farmed. Healthy pastures, low-stress handling, and good genetics mean our cattle rarely need antibiotics. When one does, treatment is individual and under veterinary guidance (VCPR), with full withdrawal times — so no residue reaches your beef, and we never mass-treat the herd.
No added hormones means clean protein, natural marbling, and real flavor. Our meat is antibiotic-free and hormone-free, every time.
- Antibiotic-free meat — no residue, ever
- No added growth hormones — ever
- Low-stress handling practices throughout
- BQA-certified animal care standards
Certifications & Standards
Our practices aren't just self-reported — they're backed by third-party programs and federal inspection that hold us to an external standard.
Practices that you can taste.
How we farm isn't just about doing right — it shapes the beef on your plate. Pasture builds flavor, grain finishing builds tenderness, good genetics build consistency.
That's the difference between commodity beef and C3 Beef — not a label claim, a farming system you can taste.
